Having trouble with wearing multiple hats?

Feel like you are trying to be all things to everyone?


I know how that can feel!

We are only week 3 into the new year, and as much as we have intentions about going slower this year, practicing self-care and juggling it all with ease and grace, as we come back to work, life can be tricky to balance.


If it gets away from us, this delicate balance of trying to blend it all can start to leave us feeling a little overwhelmed and depleted. We can feel exhausted and frustrated by the daily grind and we start to compromise all the things we said we wouldn’t.


Is there another way?

Absolutely there is. We can live our life by design and prioritise what’s most important. We can be intentional and live in a way that supports us to thrive, thrive in our relationships, in our workplaces, and all the while, filling our cup and getting what ‘we’ need. Living in this way feels expansive, joyful, like you can breathe again. You feel optimistic, you have a spring in your step and you have a zest for life!


There are many things you can do to live in alignment with your intentions. I love to journal and get really clear on where I spend my time and what is most important to me, noting how I want to feel and how I want to ‘be’.

To get you started, here’s some journal prompts:

  • What activities give me energy?

  • What work do I love doing?

  • How do I want to feel each day?

  • What are my daily non-negotiables?

  • How can I bring more laughter and joy into my day?

  • Who do I love to spend time with?

Once you have taken the time to write it all out, the next step is to plan these activities and these moments purposefully into your daily routine. There is so much more you can be doing of course, this is just the start!
